Okay, I just have to say that today was near perfect. My lovely neighbour and friend took the kids early so I could catch the train into town with my beloved, then go and listen to Paul Muldoon the Irish poet. Between the railway station and the poet I found the perfect pair of boots for this winter.

Muldoon was excellent (notes to follow next week). Then I bumped into Hinemoana and talked poetry over a cuppa before heading off to hear a panel discussion about “Art & Text” with Paula Green, John Reynolds and Leigh Davis. The discussions were thought provoking and both sessions had me thinking about how the creation of all kinds of art can’t really happen without being in conversation with artists / writers of the past and present. I do find my peers vital. Speaking of which we had another great Hub session last night and began the altered books.

The modern creative process: make; photograph; blog. Hahaha

I have boot envy! and Art and text envy! Maybe you can anser my blog questions for the day!
Hello! I love your boots! I have some new winter boots on layby…I wish I could pick them up TODAY!
I’m home from Welly already
I was only down for two and a bit days (MON-WEDS) and it ended up being a bit of a whirlwind – but it was great. I’m sorry we didn’t get a chance to meet up – hopefully soon!
x Helen
Sorry to have missed you Helen
Another time tho…
In the meantime I’ll just prance about in my boots, lalala.
Your boots!!! I want!!! Where from? I’m on a boot mission after nearly wearing out my Docs. (Well, they still have life but aren’t looking as nice as they used to :’( )
Thanks! Overland
I love those boots as well. I wanted to see Paul Muldoon as I enjoy his poetry but school got in the way. I did take a group of seniors down from Cannons Creek to see Sia Fiagel and she was wonderful.
oh yes. boot love!!!!
I don’t think I have ever seen your blog before, can this be possible?
I like it a lot.
I would introduce myself, but I see I am on your link list so you must know who I am already!
