Show your workings is my online creative journal showcasing my craft and poetry. The title comes from one of my poems as seen on Turbine
The old version of Show your workings is here.
I was was born to the sound of dirt bikes on the fire-breaks in the Hutt Valley, NZ. My ancestors hail from: England (Essex and Kent), Ireland (Kerry), Scotland (Knockandhu – Moray and Dunoon – Argyll) and from the Greek village of Exogi, Ithaca.
I’ve studied undergraduate writing at the IIML. My background is in book-selling, publishing and literary events management. I’ve been published in Poetry NZ, Turbine, Glottis, Domestica (Wai-te-ata Press, 2004) and the 4th Floor. I collaborated with 3 friends to produce a poetry and art exhibition called Kissed (2005).
I live with my partner and 2 kids in Paekakariki on the Kapiti Coast, New Zealand. I run an online business selling girl stuff.

Thanks
Promise I’m not an e-stalker, Helen … Am in the process of setting up a Greater Wellington version of collaborative Melbourne op-shoppers’ blog I Op Therefore I Am - and wondered if you would be interested in writing for it occasionally? Frequency is entirely up to you.
Its aim is to let everyone know about the treasure you’ve found, alert the world to that Karen Walker dress that didn’t quite fit, and check out where you can get your op shop fix on a Sunday.
Welly version is http://well-opshopping.blogspot.com/
