Today I moved some of my posts from my old blog over here before they are lost in the handover of our old domain.
In doing so I’ve just figured out that I’ve been blogging on and off for more than two years! My, how time flies. So you lucky readers get access to some of my old poetry and writings.
To celebrate I’ve given SYW a facelift and I’m reposting one of my first blog entries. Hmmm, some things never change!

Stuck to my computer screen is a small ceramic tortoise; a Chinese symbol of good luck and health. The tortoise travels slowly, takes time to reach its destination, and thereby lives a long and blessed life. A multi-tasking, speed reading, txting life doesn’t allow us to do one thing well, slowly, methodically. Or sit back and appreciate an accomplishment.
It’s hard to start talking about resolutions without sounding like Bridget Jones. This year my resolutions do not involve giving things up, rather I am resolving to find time; time for myself, time for my family, time for writing; and time for reading. Everything else will carry on regardless, I’m sure. Emails will keep arriving, the phone will keep ringing but sometimes its okay to keep people waiting, like a bride perhaps.
Happy New Year for 2006.
