Congratulations Helen, I’m really pleased for you because it seems like this is just the kind of boost you need for your writing, and it will give you permission to really prioritise it. I look forward to seeing the new work that will inevitably come out of your year!
That is great news Helen. I did the MA last year and it was amazing. Sorry I missed your reading at the fair – man, it was hectic and hot! But i did swing by the stall and purchased a madonna and child ornament for a friend of mine whose baby is due on Christmas day. So excited for you…
that is ome of the best news i have heard all year!!! how awesomely wonderful for you. i’m envious but very proud of having a interwebby friend who has achieved something so great. i am sure that you and your writing will really flourish.
have a great christmas and all the best for the coming year for you and your whanau.
That’s great news! I did get to hear your poetry reading at the fair and have also recently been very kindly allowed to join a wee writers group here in Paekakariki. I’ve only been to one get-together and it was just before Xmas so a lot of people weren’t there. Do you know about it? Are you interested? Email me if you are keen.
Congratulations. Does this mean we won’t be tripping over each other at Trash Palace for a while? Hey, we are crafting every 2nd Wednesday of the Month at Aunt Daisy’s cafe at Titahi Bay beach. Starts 7.30pm. Would love the Gem’s to visit or join in at any stage. Just opening up our wee bay crafting group to the community. First one was tonight, lots of fun . anyways, this has turned into an email. How fun. A year of poetry. Whoops to u! big awhi, rachelle and knuckles …
I live in Paekakariki on the Kapiti Coast, New Zealand. SYW has been a craft blog for quite a while but this year I'm devoting my life to writing a book of poetry.
